De-Wax Consultation – £60 (for one or both ears)

If you are found to have ear wax present, we will remove it safely and effectively using the most appropriate method. This may include: microsuction, irrigation and/or instrumentation. The method used depends on the consistency of the ear wax, as well as the size of your ear canal. The charge is the same regardless whether wax is removed in one or both ears. Please remember to use ear drops e.g. olive oil to soften the wax prior to your appointment.

De-Wax Follow Up – Free of Charge

Occasionally, we are unable to remove all of the wax in one sitting. This may be because the consistency of the wax in your ear is too hard, even if you had used ear drops prior to your appointment.  There will be no charge for further follow-ups required to remove all of the ear wax. However, failure to prepare the ear with ear drops prior to your appointment may result in you being charged extra for a follow-up appointment.

No Wax Consultation – £20

If you are found to not have ear wax present, there will be a consultation charge. This will include an ear examination, plus any relevant medical advice provided by the audiologist. You will also be given the option of a hearing screen test which will provide you with information on whether your hearing is normal or not. A report will also be sent to your GP if necessary.

Hearing Screen Test – £20

hearing screen test will give us indication as to whether your hearing is normal or not. You will be given advice by an audiologist with how to manage any hearing loss identified.
